License
The end user license agreement for OliTerm, followed by the notices for the open-source components it contains.
Version 1.0, 11 September 2026
1. Parties and acceptance
This agreement is between you and Boinx Software International GmbH, Industriestr. 9, 82110 Germering, Germany (“Boinx”). By downloading, installing or using OliTerm (the “Software”) you accept it. If you do not, do not install or use the Software.
2. License
Boinx grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on any number of Macs that you own or control, for personal and commercial purposes, for as long as this agreement is in force. The Software is licensed, not sold; Boinx and its licensors keep all rights not expressly granted here.
3. What you may not do
- Distribute, sell, rent or lend the Software, or make it available to third parties other than by pointing them to oliterm.app.
- Modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the Software, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite this clause.
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark or license notices in the Software.
4. Updates
Boinx may offer updates through the Software’s built-in update mechanism. Updates are covered by this agreement unless they come with a new one. Boinx is under no obligation to provide updates, new features or support.
5. AI features and commands run on your hosts
The Software can suggest and, in agent mode, run commands on the computers you connect to. On-device suggestions come from Apple Intelligence; if you configure a Claude API key, requests go to Anthropic under your own agreement with Anthropic, and any fees Anthropic charges are yours. You decide what the assistant and the agent are allowed to do, and you remain responsible for the commands that run on your hosts, whether you typed them or approved them or let the agent run them. AI output can be wrong; review it as you would advice from a colleague.
6. Third-party components
The Software includes open-source components under their own licenses, which continue to apply to those components. They are listed under “Third-party notices” below.
7. No warranty
The Software is provided free of charge and “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Boinx gives no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including that the Software is free of defects, fit for a particular purpose, or will run without interruption or error.
8. Liability
Because the Software is provided free of charge, Boinx is liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected. Boinx is in particular not liable for data loss or for the consequences of commands run on your hosts, unless the preceding sentences apply.
9. Term
This agreement runs until you delete the Software from all your Macs. Boinx may end it if you breach it materially; in that case you must stop using the Software and delete it.
10. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you usually live remain in force. For merchants, the place of jurisdiction is Munich, Germany.
